Who we are

We collect identity proof during chef registration. National Insurance, banking and conviction details are stored encrypted and kept out of application notification emails. Only authorised HR staff and administrators can reveal them in the back office.

Who we share it with

Client venues see only the professional details needed to confirm a placement — never your documents or personal contact details unless you agree. We use trusted processors for hosting, email delivery and (with consent) analytics, under written data-processing terms. Google Analytics may transfer data to the United States under the UK–US data bridge.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 2 years from the last contact.
  • Candidate records: up to 2 years after our last contact with you, or longer where the law requires (for example, employment-agency and tax records).
  • Client records: 6 years after the end of the business relationship (accounting obligations).

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS. Uploaded documents are stored privately, never at a public web address, and only authorised HR staff can open them; every access is logged.
